Best fishing trip ever

Just returned from a six days solo fishing trip on Quetico Provincial Park. Fishing was terrific, scenery stuningly beatifull, lakes pristine and wildlife incredible and abundant. Nevertheless, the most memorable aspect of this trip was meeting Doug Chapman. Doug, the owner of Canadian Quetico Outfitters, has a contagious positive attitude and the willingness to help others. Also, he has all the knowledge and experience necessary to do it. Doug provided all the transfers, permits, foods, camping and canoe gear for that trip. Everything was top-notch. I highly recommend Canadian Quetico Outfitters to anyone interested in taking a canoe trip on Quetico wilderness

    An extraordinary, memorable expedition!
My two older brothers and my dad and I just checked into our hotel after returning earlier today from a 5-day expedition through Quetico Provincial Park and we are so glad that we chose Canadian Quetico Outfitters to plan our adventure! From the very beginning (last year) we have been planning this trip and Doug from Canadian Quetico Outfitters has been helping us along the way the entire time. I don't think there is a more honest and helpful guy than Doug. He explained everything we should bring with us down to the last detail and gave us all the helpful info we needed. He provided high quality kevlar portaging canoes, emergency kits, food barrels, cooking supplies and much, much more! He even gave us route recommendations with highly detailed maps. Doug arranged our airport pickup and drop-off as well as any other thing we might need. We could already tell he was going to be a real stand-up guy but when we finally met him in person he was even more approachable and friendly than we thought! As Doug drove us out to our drop-off point he regailed us in countless interesting stories and humourous anecdotes. When we stopped off at the Quetico Parks Station, we mentioned that Doug is our outfitter to the Parks employee in charge of the station and she said, "Oh Doug's taking care of you? You're in good hands." After an epic 5-day journey, our family bonding time came to an end. We wanted to be conscientous and arrive at the pickup spot very early. When we got there, we realized Doug had the very same thought and our pickup was already waiting for us! After a lovely drive to our hotel, Doug called us a few hours later just to check in and make sure we had a great time. In his words, "I want to make sure that 'ugly stick' comes back to Quetico." (The 'ugly stick' is the brand name of my dads fishing rod). We have a hard time believing there is any outfitter who would go out of their way for us as much as Doug and Evan at Canadian Quetico Outfitters did. They are just one of many reasons why we plan to fly out to Ontario and do this thing all over again.
