A Must see the Oshawa Automotive Museum
I went to the Automotive Museum with a ground of friends. The tour was suppose to be an hour long but with our questions and the knowledge of the tour guide we were at the museum for 2 hours. We saw and read about many cars but there are so many more in the collection that we did not see even half of the cars. The tour guide told us about Sam McLaughlin and the history of GM. It was very interesting. He presented it as a story not a history lesson. There were places for us older folk to sit and enjoy the magnificent cars. Many I group said they were going back at a later date.

    Great international selection of autos
I was expecting to see all the rare Canadian cars that I have grown up knowing have been built here in Canada; I didn't see them at this museum. However, I saw automobiles made in cities in Canada which I never knew contributed to this industry! Wow! Also there are some exquisite vehicles (cars and trucks) that are literally phenomenal examples, and some historically important. Some examples brought back memories of cars my mother or father drove when I was a young child 50 years ago, others reminded me of how far we have come in safety performance (I broke my nose on a steel dashboard in a 1964 car during a head-on accident). The building is very old, but the washrooms are well lit and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
