Wow That's a Big Peanut
My friends and I were in Durant for a running event and we stumbled upon this gem. It was really big. We can't wait to be in Durant again for another visit and show more of our friends.

What It Lacks in Size It Makes Up for in Quality
We really enjoy checking out roadside oddities like this when we travel. I must say that I am quite surprised at just how small this is for a World's Largest. I mean, the reality-to-replica ratio can't be more than a few hundred to one, right? Surely some enterprising folks in Georgia or Alabama could craft a larger one, right?? OTOH, it IS a very nicely executed sculpture, very realistic in its depiction of the textural details of the peanut shell. It isn't as though someone just painted a LP gas tank brown and CALLED it a peanut. This is a very authentic rendering. Kudos to the sculptor!

World's Largest Peanut
Well, I know I had seen the photos so I knew already that it wasn’t “that big” but really?.....largest peanut? This thing is only about 3 feet wide and sits atop a small wall of dedication. It’s still pretty cool, but also kind of a let down.
