Great Place to learn About Will Rogers
We walked the lovely grounds to the gravesite of Will Rogers and most of his family behind the museum. As expected and appreciated the museum is totally dedicated to the life, aspects, and sayings of Will Rogers. We started our museum visit by watching one of the many movies in the theater and then looked at the many videos—including of his amazing roping—and exhibits of this many faceted and talented person. There is also a room devoted to the plane crash where he and Wiley Post perished. I really liked this museum and felt it was appropriately representative of this amazing man. I do think some brighter lighting would improve the atmosphere. Our grandsons felt it was too “old style” and there should be some upgraded technological aspects. Entrance is free with NARM membership.

The must see place to visit while you are in Claremore: very educational and informative!
Where else would you want to go to if you are in Claremore? Even though he died before I was born: this man is an important part of American history and lore. Many exhibits, family heirlooms and artifacts throughout this museum show the impact this icon had on our society. Many movie clips and photos are located throughout the museum which is built around the burial sight of him and his extended family. Admission is very reasonable, and a gift shop is located on site to help you buy something to remember both him and your visit.
