Beautiful views of rolling hills, lakes, creeks, bison, and longhorns. Mount Scott has a spectacular 360° view.
Landscape is full of rolling hills, lakes, creeks, and wide open prairie lands with beautiful views. The view from Mount Scott is spectacular as you can see in all directions. The visitor center is as great as any that I’ve seen in any of the national parks. Very well designed.

Outdoors is still open
There is so much to see and do in the area and all for free! Bison are everywhere before the visitors center. Elk I'm told head to the watering hole just past the Holy city ar dawn and dusk. There are several Prairie dog villages on the road to the Holy City. Mt Scott provides amazing views but if you go on Sunday be aware the gates don't open to vehicles till noon. Drive a little slower in the refuge as long horns and bison roam freely around.
