Very fun, and well organized Festival!
This festival goes above and beyond the expectations of a small town festival. It is well organized, well participated by vendors, entertainment, locals and visitors from afar. Excitement for kids -- giant bubble machine, bouncy houses, face painting, etc. Fun for adults -- bands, wine tasting tent, cheese tasting, antique and craft stores, lots of vendor booths and unique food choices. Places to stay that are in walking distance to downtown, and a rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are inclined, there is also a 1 mile fun run, a 5K, and a 10K competitive runs with prizes!

Fun time in a quaint little town!
The city of Watonga used to have a cheese factory until an inland hurricane took it out and they moved to Texas. However, that did not stop the townspeople from continuing its cultural roots. The Cheese Festival has food vendors -- of course with lots of cheese dishes -- antique stores, craft booths, a local winery and a wine tasting tent. The bands they brought in for the festival were top-notch. They even have a cheese-tasting line so you may sample all of the Watonga cheeses, and purchase to take home if you choose. In addition, they have a 5K and 10K run, face painting, giant bubble machine and blow up bouncy houses for the kids.
