    Tonkawa Re-Opening After Covid19
Finally a casino opened after every casino in the country has been closed due to the Corina Virus. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon the second day it was re-opened, there was a short line to get in. Since we had a hotel reservation, we did not have to stand in line. The doorway straight to check in at the hotel was closed so we had to drag our luggage through the main entrance though the casino to the area where you check in for the hotel. The hotel and the casino is very small. Think of it as a Best Western, or Comfort Suites, with a casino downstairs. The rooms are really nice, again it's like one of the above mentioned hotel rooms. Furnishings are all modern, and the room is a decent size. It has a refrigerator, an easy chair, a comfortable bed. All things considered it was a nice room and I have no complaints. The bathroom has plenty of counter space and the towels were even nice, that's unusual. There was no blow-dryer in the bathroom, we had our own. Normally we would not pay $142 for a Sunday night, but we were guaranteed entry into the casino with a hotel reservation and we wanted to make sure we got in, plus it was too far of a drive for us to drive home. The casino is very small and the new Covid19 precautions are in place as o Sat. May 9, 2020. As you enter you will have your temperature taken, and be handed a disposable mask unless you bring your own. Once your temperature is seen and if you are well, you can enter since only so many can be in the casino now. With every person that leaves, another is able to go in. Once in, every other machine is disabled and dark with no chair for social distancing. There is a good selection of games, all modern new games, no old ones. Everyone is required to wear a mask and everyone had them on even if they pull them down to drink or smoke. They can ask you to leave if you don't wear it. It seems everyone was doing their best to comply. I was impressed with the safety measures Tonkawa put into place, they were doing a great job unlike the nearby Osage Ponca City that was doing nothing but limiting the number of people in the casino. They were not doing temperature checks and not giving anyone a mask and therefore no one in there had one on! We did not feel as comfortable there.Osage was just robbing us blind, Just depositing money and getting nothing back. I figured out real quick while the line outside moved so fast, people can't stay long because they just rob you blind. We didn't stay long for many reasons, and we won't go back to Osage in Ponca City. Over-all Tonkawa was a fun place to play for a little while, it does get smokey in there and I don't usually mention that because a lot of casinos have a decent system to filter the smoke, I don't think Tonkawa does and that was the only down side. If you found this review helpful, thank you for your helpful vote.

Tonkawa Casinos in Oklahoma - Average
I have visited both Tonkawa Casino's in Oklahoma - West and East. The newer Tonkawa allowed their slots to be loose when I visited Fall 2014. I walked out with a profit, but that was because I decided to play a $2 machine, not penny. They need to hire additional staff in their eating areas. You tend to wait a while before being seated/served. Food is good and reasonably priced. Both of these casinos are not big, but have enough to offer if you just want to play for a few hours. Note: if you hit a chunk of change, cash out and get out. Don't allow yourself to think you'll hit big again and let them take back what they allowed you to win. If you plan to stay and play all day into the evening, there are plenty of hotels/motels in the area. Also, numerous fast food and chain restaurants, too, in the area. The staff at both locations have always been very friendly and courteous to me.
