A must see location at the Refuge

This is a large area with lots of buildings and things to see. One should plan on at least an hour to get around and enjoy the buildings, the views, and more. We spent about three hours looking at everything and got some very nice pictures of Holy City and of the surrounding mountains. There were a lot of people at Holy City the day we were there and it was much appreciated that people followed social distancing and wearing masks. The gentleman in the gift shop (Paul maybe) was very informative with information to people asking questions. The gift shop is nice, but not a lot to choose from. There is a re-enactment of some sort on Easter morning and maybe someday we'll take the opportunity to see this. We hear there are many, many people who attend this so we'll see. Very enjoyable time!

Inside the Refuge - Great stop
Stopped in while exploring the refuge. As we were pulling in the ground hogs were running around and quite funny to watch, then a bison was grazing right next to the parking area so great up close pictures (keeping our distance of course). Was just fund to see the buildings and picturing the story they act out on the Easter holiday. I have seen a similar play in Arkansas and could guess on the areas for which part. The most spiritual for me was the Christ of Wichita statue which is the walkway by the bathrooms. If you climb up to the side of it there is a very special stone that will pull at you - I recommend you go and see for your self.

    Best Day Ever!
I took my Dad (in his 80s) and two grandchildren, 5 and 9 years of age and everyone loved it. The kids got to walk around, climb and really experience the "Holy City." My grandson said to me, "Best Day Ever!" Love it when that comment is made by my grandchildren after a day we spent together. We also had gone to Mount Scott.
