Terrific day trip in Oklahoma

Last weekend we signed up for the public tour - started at 10:00 and lasted over 90 minutes. It was wonderful! They combine a fun event with lots of great education about Asian Elephants. This month they are also having Pumpkin Patch (we skipped that). We lunched at the Circus Diner and then toured the Showmans Rest at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Highly recommend if you love Elephants.

    Up Close and Personal
    What a wonderful interactive learning experience this was! Our tour was a full 2 hours and involved not only up close learning demonstrations, but also a sufficient amount of time petting and feeding these lovely creatures. I love that the Ark stimulates them mentally as this helps keep their intellect in tact (just like us humans). They are smart, and gentle and curious and I highly recommend this tour to all ages!

    If you love elephants
    We were going to be in the Hugo area during the week and needed a place to stay so we opted for the Awesome Adventure Cabin on the grounds of the Endangered Ark Foundation. It was a once in a life time experience. They had elephants out so you could see them up close (not touch but up close) until dark. The cabin was quaint and clean and slept 5. In the morning you got to have breakfast with an elephant. DelRita brought us our breakfast and we in turn rewarded her with cut up bananas. The kids had a great time feeding her and she enjoyed the treat. The interaction was great. We highly recommend this place
