Statue, Park, Swimming Pool!
While the statue isn't terribly impressive, the Park and Municipal Swimming Pool are great for a town the size of Blackwell! The park includes playground equipment, a small concrete skateboard area, picnic tables and a free Splash Pad. The pool is very reasonably priced, at $1 for youth and $2 per adult. They have a large, laned pool with a shallow 4-foot end. There is a separate, deep diving pool with several boards. On the day of our visit, a hot Saturday afternoon, the pool was not at all crowded. What a wonderfully, pleasant afternoon! Blackwell is fortunate to have the Memorial Park & Swimming Pool for their community to enjoy!
