Internet Find gone Right

We came across Sipokni West on the Internet while I was looking for something to do. What can be more fun than a manufactured old west town? Admittedly, we were a little hesitant once we got there. It looked a little iffy from the outside, but we overcame, cowboyed up and went inside. So glad we did! We got there at lunch stopped into The Lost Spur. The food was really good. Made to order. We got to meet Mrs. Shackleford, the owners wife, and our server. She is so high energy and loving. Made us feel like family. The self guided tour was low key but fun. You have to remember, this is a movie set, so some of the buildings aren't much. We then met and had a great conversation with the owner, Mr Shackleford, with whom I wish we had gotten more time. We will come back again, after the weather is warmer to see the gunfights!

wild west- a definite must visit!
the " cemetary". we drove down to regan and found this place and spent the entire day. incredible, the work this couple has put into this movie set! so much to explore, and the people were great. we went a few years back, and ate at the restaurant, as well as visiting the well stocked gift shop, whose prices were very wallet friendly. i think the best part was listening to the stories told by the owners. well worth the long drive from okc, for a day trip! i had to choose 2021 off the visit list, but it was further back when we visited...probably closer to 2014. very photogenic place, if you like the old west!

    1880's Movie Set Town
Sipokni West is a unique Old West town built by retired actor Johnny Shackleford and serves as Oklahoma's largest Western movie set. Gunfights are performed every third Saturday night at 6:30pm. Come and enjoy the Lost Spur Cafe, which is open year round, Thu-Fri 11:30am-8:30pm and Sat 10am-8:30pm. Book Sipokni West for photo shoots, parties, meetings and family reunions. Admission to the museum and Western town is free. The gift shop and cafe are located on Main Street in Sipokni West. The museum has displays about life in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Be sure to stop by the Lost Spur Cafe. They, also, have craft shows at various times of the year.
