The New Milburn Museum has so much to see about the history of Pottawatomie County. All the display cases to the player pianos including autos showed so much history of different decades all in one place.

Old Train Depot with history
This is an old train depot that has been refurbished to house memorabilia of the town and its history. They have many different types of items there from an old telephone switchboard to a Ford Model T.

Unusual Railroad Architecture
Two lady friends and I drove to Shawnee for one of our exploring Oklahoma day trips. Our first stop was the RR museum. Seeing its lighthouse-style tower peering above the buildings in the historic district helped us find the place. Architectural features include a rusticated-stone exterior with arches leading you into a portico. The museum entrance was around the side of the building. The exhibits include a model railroad whose miniature buildings reflect other historical buildings in the town. After we finished touring the museum, we headed off to lunch at Benedict Street Marketplace.
