    Old Ice House
Had lunch 4-20-22 about 1:00pm in the afternoon. There were two of us. This is a historic building (which was an actual ice house) that has been restored to a bar with pub type food. Probably seats 50-75 people. They have live music on Tues and Sat nights per the bartender. We had 2 lunches: 1- 8 piece buffalo chicken wings with fries, 1 margarita and an ice water. Per husband it was very good. No complaints regarding seasoning or taste issues. 2- chicken salad sandwich with potato chips and pickle spear. I’m very picky about my chicken salad and requested a taste before I ordered. It was very good and balanced. Not too much mayo. I would honestly say best chicken salad in the area. Had 1 margarita with lunch. The bartender is the one who took our order. She was very friendly and we talked for about 10-15 min. We have lived in the area since 2017 and never tried this place. Apparently the new owners have had it for about a year or so. Definitely a hidden gem in Durant. We will definitely be back.

    Glad we checked it out
This is conveniently located next to the 'world's largest peanut', so it was easy to visit both. We enjoyed the shopping in the front part of the store. The guy behind the bar was helpful and friendly. One of us had a mimosa. One of us had wine. I tried a local beer, so we sampled a little of it all. I stopped at 4 stars because, although they carry A LOT of beers, less than 10 are on tap, so their flight is a specific list of flavors, not a list from which one can choose. Being from out of state, I would have enjoyed sampling a little from several local flavors. Regardless, I do recommend this place. We did enjoy our stop there!
