Glad we visited!

It was nice to hear the history about the home. The home is beautiful! The staircase is amazing. You get to take a self tour of the house, they give you a brochure breaking down each room. We were definitely glad we stopped here.

Great place to spend an hour or two
I work at this facility as a docent, and volunteer my time on their board. The home is very well kept and is the heart of the growth of the City of Lawton. Built in early 1900 and carefully restored to the renovated home of 1930. Nicely furnished. A very interesting booklet is provided which will guide you through the home, but I highly recommend you ask for a personal tour from the docent (it does not cost any more). This home is on the historical register for Oklaoma and for good reason. The Mattie Beal story is very interesting; it combines the history of the town, local Indians, western expansion, Ft. Sill, pioneer living, and the local politics. Much can be learned and appreciated for the entire family.
