Hinton Historical Museum, Oklahoma, United States

4.5 (10 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Hinton History Museums

Fantastic selection of items with historical value, from the turn of the century and local history.

This museum packs a big selection in a small looking exterior. Once inside, it is much vaster than the outside leads you to believe. The upper story has a collection of things discovered locally and information about the wagon road in Oklahoma. There are many items that show the progression of technology in household appliances. A collection of bicycle styles is quite interesting. The lower story contains the largest buggy collection in Oklahoma. Many pristine examples show the changes as time and economical status progressed. The car collection is also very interesting. If you are lucky enough to strike up a conversation with the curator, take advantage of it. He is extremely knowledgeable about many historical items and the most informed person about the wagon road through Oklahoma that I have ever run across.

    Great collection of historical items
This museum is a little off the beaten track, which makes it all the more interesting. There is a great collection of artifacts including vintage cars and bicycles, old wringers for clothes and . The museum gives you an authentic feel of small town America.
