This incredible museum is free

The museum looks very new and clean. It was free. A veteran met us at the door and told us a lot of information. He showed us where to start the museum tour and told us he’d meet us afterwards to answer questions. It was very interesting. It covered his entire life, through his schooling, failing college, joining the army, eventually going to OCS. He served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and was the U.S. Coalition commander in the first years of the War on Terror. He retired in 2003. They had all of his medals, uniforms and the multitude of gifts other nations gave and bestowed on him. They had recently received a 3,000 pound “I” Beam from the World Trade Center.

    Amazing!
We visited the General Tommy Franks Museum today. It was amazing! We learned about Operation Iraqi Freedom and September 11, 2011. There were incredible artifacts from around the world. This is a priceless treasure!

    American treasure!
SW Oklahoma is very fortunate to have this museum. It is very interesting and something any American would appreciate. It is a very non-assuming storefront but truly has a big chunk of American history, particularly the military presence in the Middle East. Great for kids!
