Interesting piece of Indian Territory history
The entrance to the site is odd but worth it. As you follow the sign, you will feel like you are entering onto the grounds of a prison. You are! Many of the building of Fort Supply were re-purposed, first as a mental institution and then as the William S. Key Correctional Center. It is a minimum security facility, and the fort site is outside the prison fences. The site itself includes five original buildings, a replica of the 1868 stockade, and other artifacts. We received a great tour from the local Oklahoma History Society employee. While it was hotter than blazes that day, we enjoyed hearing about life on the frontier in Indian Territory and the role played by the fort and the soldiers stationed there. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

    Wow ..... who know
Taylor hunter showed us around, we where in no hurry or rush. Tyler was so great with my group of 4 graders. They have 5 original buildings on sight and the very unique cabin with Vertical logs. Only six still standing in Oklahoma and two of them are on this sight. The kids loved the jail and fort Corral. This is exactly the kind of tours and service we are looking for as our forth graders learning Oklahoma History. Thank you Mr hunter for your Passion for history! We drove 3 hrs to visit and we would do it again!
