    Burial Site of Geronimo. SPECTACULAR
I went to Fort Sill to see the Native American burial grounds that hold Geronimo, Chief Loco, and so many other Indian leaders who were held captive here at Fort Sill and buried in the local cemeteries. The history was incredible. The Apache POW burial grounds are at the top of Fort Sill, the signs are easy to follow and once you reach the cemetery you will spot Geronimo's unique burial site easily. The other Indian leaders, those of the Comanche, Kiowa, and Arapaho, are buried in the cemetery in town. They are all buried together in the same mound of earth directly in front of the main entrance. You will spot the area by finding the tallest red stone monument, that is the grave of Quanah Parker, the last chief of the Comanches. **You need to get a base pass before entering and that requires a valid ID or passport. The sign-in process takes about 20 minutes and you could easily spend 5 hours on base exploring the museums and cemetery stones. The kid manning the museum desk hardly knew a thing, but you can check on the internet to find the locations of the burial grounds of Chief Kicking Bird, Satanta, and Sitting Bear. It was an amazing and awe-inspiring day. I highly recommend this outing. Your base pass can be for the day, week or month, just ask at the visitors center for what you're in need of. The entire day is free. The museums do ask for a donation if possible.

    Veterans resting place
Loved going and visiting with two people that I knew buried there. Iits a small new cemetary but so beautiful and ready to give rest to hundreds of faithful veterans.
