Great Tribute Monument

Lovely 15 foot granite tribute to the cowboys that settled the Cherokee Strip along the Cimarron River. The citizens of Freedom dedicated the memorial in 1950. The rock is chiseled with depictions of western scenes along with the names of those cowboys that contributed to settling the area. Great little stop if you’re nearby. It’s under a small covered open air pavilion in a little park.
