What a neat theater. It's like traveling back in time. Classic and just an interesting and economical theater.

    Old School Movie Watching Experience
My family went out for a movie watching experience on Christmas Day, to my surprise we went to a theater I had not heard of in Cushing, OK. The Dunkin Theater (207 E. Broadway) it is in the old downtown area of Cushing and the price for a ticket was ridiculously inexpensive. It is an old theater replete with all the old, authentic ornamentation of theaters from a bygone era. It has only one screen, and it is not stadium style seating. Though the seats and sound system appear to have been retrofitted to modern standards the rest of the theater is very authentic – though somewhat depilated. Very high ceilings and clearly some plaster has blistered. Maybe not a place to go if you’re a clean freak, but if you want an authentic throwback to old-school movie watching – while watching some new release. The Dunkin Theater is an experience I recommend.

    Staple in the Community
I agree since the earthquake it needs a lot of work but hopefully they get it fixed soon. I know there is a new committee forming regarding what we need to do as a community and we are banning together so hopefully we come up with some really positive ideas to help places like the movie theatre. We will see March 9th, But I remember coming here from the time I was 5 yrs old, I had just moved to Cushing and downtown was more hopping then because the highway use to go through there! But I remember when it was $1.50 to get in lmbo! compared to the competition, Cushing is still only charging i think its half the price as anywhere else! There is only one screen, so there is only one movie shown, but that just adds to the small town vibe!
