Steeerike!
Chris Barber admitted to me that he had to rememove a few of the “art” pieces because he can no longer keep up with maintenance (health). Fear not: there are still a dozen or so, including an American flag of perhaps 100 balls, daisies whose petals are pins, bird feeders, and characters whose heads are balls. Your car will be dirty, but your heart will be full

Amazing, whimsical can't-miss sculpture
I saw a few photos of this place on the Roadside America website and went out of my way (on a trip to Tulsa) down US 169 instead of US 75. It's a bit hard to find, but definitely worth it! On the front and side yards of a home are dozens of clever sculptures made of bowling balls, everything from Mickey Mouse made of three black bowling balls (head and ears) to a row of 26 sculptures for each letter of the alphabet. In between are a wishing well, an outline of the state of Oklahoma, all kinds of symbols, a pyramid (109 bowling balls), and a little house covered with bowling balls (inside walls are filled with bowling trivia, floor to ceiling). It's an amazing work made by Chris Barbee to share with the public. Donatiions of cash and bowling balls (any color) are welcome.
