National Road Zane Grey Museum, Ohio, United States

4.5 (57 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Norwich Speciality Museums

I Cannot Praise This Museum Enough

First and foremost, the staff is what makes the museum. Jerry and Sandi were excellent hosts. My husband and I enjoyed speaking with them and appreciated the time they took to make our experience so wonderful. There's more to this museum than meets the eye. Whether you are interested in the National Road and it's history, Cowboys, fishing, writing, glassware, pottery and Hollywood, this is the spot for you. You can easily spend two hours at this museum. Don't rush through it. If you are offered a tour, take it; you will get so much more out of the experience. The price for admission is very reasonable. The building is fully accessible. There are picnic tables located on site. They have a very nice gift shop, too. Prices are lower than at the average gift shop with many interesting and unique items. They have the best prices on postcards, too.

    Amazing museum and Guide
I agree 100% with all the others who say this is an amazing museum. There is so much more to it than you would think from the outside. Loved the old pictures of the National Road, the diorama, the cars, the gift shop is loaded with good things, and the guide!!! If you get Jerry, you are in good hands. Personable, caring, and knows EVERYTHNG!!! By the way please do not skip this museum because you do not read the Zane Grey books, I do not read them but the museum is chock full of Ohio history. (Although, while there, I was able to get my hands on a copy of his first book Betty Zane.) 5 stars!
