National Packard Museum, Ohio, United States

Great Museum!

Many family members have owned Packard cars and still rave about them so many years later. I was somewhat aware of the local connection to Ohio, but while we were not far from Warren we decided to visit the National Packard Museum. This is a very nice museum with an amazing collection of cars and history. Cars from all 4 years when Packards were built in Warren; a beautiful Packard convertible purchased by Howard Hughes for his wife; examples of Packard's contributions to the war effort. This is not a museum that you finish in 30min and forget, this is a solid multi-hour experience that will make you really appreciate the Packards and what was born in Warren. Also if you're wondering, the museum is well setup to be a safe place during this pandemic with good health safety measures and the ability to enjoy the museum and still be socially distant. Check it out, it is worth a drive to visit.

    Well worth the visit
The museum has a nice collection of vehicles representing the length of Packard automobile production. However this is only a portion of the presentations. There is a fairly comprehensive history of the Packard companies. Including memorabilia of various family members and Packard related ephemera. A visit would be most enjoyed by car buffs, but also by those who have an interest in history in general.

Enjoyable visit learning about the Packard
We enjoyed visiting the museum. It explains the history of the Packard automobile, the family, and the building, which had been a bath house. There were a number of restored cars and when we visited the museum in January 2020, a motorcycle exhibit had just been installed. The museum staff was very friendly and was enthusiastic about their collection.
