    Fun Christmas kitsch
After years of hearing about how we needed to go see Castle Noel from my in-laws, we decided to go when we visited just after Christmas this year. It was an activity our whole group could enjoy, from ages 8 to 80! The museum takes itself seriously, without taking itself TOO seriously. Everyone had a different "favorite part." Mine was probably the recovered Christmas windows from Macy's, Lord & Taylor, and Sax 5th Avenue. Or was it sliding down the very same slide that Ralphie used in "A Christmas Story?" Or perhaps it was seeing the actual light-up model house in "Deck the Halls" in all it's lights timed to music glory? I'm really not sure, but I loved it. I highly recommend this, even though tickets may seem a bit pricey.

    Interesting (Rushed) Tour and Experience
Took my parents here who were visiting from out of town. My dad and I love all things Christmas so we knew this would be right up our alley. We enjoyed seeing all of the items on display and hearing the stories behind them, however, we constantly felt rushed throughout the tour. I understand they are likely trying to move as many groups through was possible but we didn't really have time to linger and look at things without getting left behind and not hearing the first part of the next exhibit or room. If you're in the back of the group you can't typically see the stuff the guide is talking about and by the time you get to the display, they are around the corner talking about the next thing. It is still an excellent experience that I highly recommend!
