    Ski area for all levels
I'm British living in the area and my skiing ability is at the top-end of intermediate, being able to ski all runs comfortably. Font-Romeu/Pyrenees 2000 has a fairly extensive ski area with something for all abilities. Most European ski areas have blue, red and black runs but this area has a few greens too; one all the way down from the highest lift, which is great for beginners. There is a children's snow-park/ski school, restaurants and skiers can either take the gondola from the town centre or park in the large parking areas at either Font-Romeu or Pyrenees 2000. Pain-in-the-neck snowboarders seem well catered for too with an extensive snow-park with the usual jumps etc. If only they would stay there! Since living here, the slopes have always managed to open on the target weekend, being the first weekend in December. Last winter the conditions were just about perfect with all runs open. My last ski day was late March and it was wonderful. A word of warning though. I avoid school holidays in February as the place is just too busy with long queues at the main 6 seat chairlift. Once that is negotiated, it eases somewhat. All-in-all, this is a good ski resort with (mostly) great conditions, slopes for all abilities, lovely views and decent restaurant facilities.

Good kids' club (Club Piou Piou) and good family runs
The kids' club is easily contacted and lessons are booked even the day before. Family runs available for all...
