Paddle boarding on a gorgeous lake
We drive up to the lake and headed for the base du plein air where we rented a large paddle board for 4 of us - such fun! The lake is specious and the staff were super helpful and friendly. We took a picnic lunch although the cafe offered sandwiches. We swam in the lake in the afternoon . A lovely spot.

Beautiful Inland Lake and Hiking Trails
We had a wonderful afternoon at and around the lake. First, watching the canadair airplanes land on the lake, take in water, then dump the water on the lake; practice preparation for any forest fires that typically happen in summer. We then did a seven-kilometer hike starting from the village Liausson up to the top of a local summit at 530 meters (and back down of course!). It was a difficult hike in parts where the rocks and boulders were not really paths, but the view from the top was worth it.

Very nice hike in the surroundings of the lake
Lac du Salagou is a very nice lake located in the surroundings of Clermont l'Herault, in Occitaine Region, in the South of France. It is a popular place to do hikes or cycling. We did a little hike between parking Les Vailhés and Chapelle Notre-Dame des Clans go and returnin a circular way. From here you can see very beautiful views of the lake (beautiful and red views, because the sand has a red colour) and the tree mountains located in the opposite side. Very nice place to walk, relax, bath and sunbath, and play with children.
