Turtles

Nicknamed Turtle Beach, this unique location is home to a population of Hawaiian green turtles that bask on its sandy shores during the day. Observe these gentle creatures from a safe distance, and watch them make their way through the rough waves that hit the beach. Volunteers are on hand to ensure that the turtles are not disturbed, and there are signs with information and rules. Laniakea Beach is understandably popular with tourists and locals alike—visiting in the morning when the turtles are active and for fewer crowds. You'll have a better chance of seeing turtles in the summer. – Tripadvisor

    Turtles
We drove to this beach to see turtles that usually arrive around 11 am. The first time we went it was very cool temperatures and rain - there were two people watching for the turtles but told us most likely they would not come to shore due to the tempertures. We returned the next day and were not disappointed. Laniakea Beach has a small parking area which has you crossing a very busy road I would highly recommend going early and being patient if you want to see turtles.

Called "Turtle Beach" for a reason
If you're looking for up-close views of sea turtles, this is the right spot. We hit the timing right, and came on a Thursday when traffic was not bad. We were able to get a parking spot at public parking right across the road from the beach. There were many turtles swimming in the surf just off the beach, and several were pushed up to the beach by the waves. The turtles would stay on the beach for a few minutes before pushing themselves back out into the water. Awesome scenery and incredible creatures!
