Vehicles on Neva River
There are a lot of vehicles, high-speed boats (Hydrofoils) running on the Neva River. Hydrofoil runs from St. Petersburg to Peterhof and these tour boats are referred as "Meteors". I didn't try them out, unfortunately. However. Next time could be pleasure vehicle ride.

No such embankment.
There are several embankments on the Neva. One in the former British Embassy is called the British Embankment, the University embankment by the Egyptian statues, called the Admiralty Embankment by the Admiralty building, the Kutuzov by the Kutusov palace by the Neva, the Petrovskaya by the cabin of Peter the Great, the one by the Hermitage is called the Palace Embankment. My favorite was the palace embankment, overlooking the Roman columns of the Vasileostrovsky / Petrogradsky district and the old palace. Walking along the embankments of the Neva one can admire a myriad of palaces and important buildings and parks.

Vacation
Calm and serene looking river Neva is more gorgeous when you ferry on it and the view from river is not to be missed, I followed my instinct and booked a private boat ride with my guide Mr. Nikolay and worth it we went through all the historical centers of the city it was a treat for the eyes and knowledge you get [ depends on your guide ] is great. good luck.
