Amazing experience - Ballet in the Mariinsky Theatre
A phenomenal experience in the Mariinsky Theatre. We went to see the Giselle - which is a classic ballet. It was spectacular. We were a bit unsure about the dress code as it was a last minute decision and we didn't pack accordingly, but we were just fine with a smrat(ish) casual wear. Some people turned up in suits, some in jeans but I seriously wouldn't stress about it. As for the performance - it was amazing! I was initially a bit against it but my partner managed to persuade me and I am very happy we went. If you are in St. Petersburg and have time for an evening performance I would definitely recommend.

Gorgeous
It was such a pleasure to watch the play in Mariynskiy theatre. The building itself in an old styled theatre with awesome architecture, it can amaze you with it’s beauty and scale. Also the plays here are as much delightful as you can imagine. Actor are like really living through their roles. It’s the place you must to see!
