History comes to life
On our way from Akureyri to Reykjavík we decided to check out this museum our friends had been raving about. Thanks to the travel restrictions/covid-19 we got tickets at the entrance without having to preorder. The way the show is set up is thoroughly planned and thought-out so you get more and more drawn-in as you move between the three main rooms. Really nicely done. And the VR is just amazing. It is such a cool way to bring history to life and give you a better understanding of the circumstances at the time of the battle. We loved it and will be revisiting next time we go to Sauðárkrókur. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Worth the trip
Well worth the trip, did a great job explaining the history of the battle of 1238. If you have a large group they can handle up to eight people at a time in the vr section. It was very clean and put together. Icelandic and English options for everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
