Entertaining tourguides. Working mechanical musical instruments.
I had great fun in the museum. The tourguides were entertaining (really!!). The museum is packed with actually working mechanical music instruments from many eras. I can recommend this to any music lover :) The tour takes an hour and you can join at any time (no waiting) The only downside is, there is no café.

Good fun
This is fun even if you don't like museums. This place would stand the competition even in areas with more attractions. In addition to interesting instruments the guided tour is fun show. I've been here twice, once the owner did the tour for us, once the guide was his daughter. The first time was a while ago though, I don't know how it has been lately.

A pleasant surprise
I didn't have high expectations when gpinh to visit the "museum" but it turned out to be a very interesting and entertaining visit. There were three different guides during our tour and they all did a stellar job. One of them was likely the owner and he spiced up the tour with quite a lot of showmanship. The actual instruments are the likes you won't be seeing in many places and the favt they actually work still today is great. Give this place a visit if you are near Varkaus.
