    Stunning monastery in beautiful setting
What a fantastic place which no-one seems to have found. Huge monastery with interesting history - you can see everything from the kitchens to the cells, toilets and the magnificent church. Also beautiful grounds with a chapel and lake

Good, if you have the time
A bit out of the way, but if you have the time, it can be a satisfying hour or so of your trip. Make no mistake, there are more spectacular places to see. So that’s why there was one car in the parking lot when we were there. Nonetheless, it’s got a nice church and some other rooms that are pretty good. Also, there are walls of fine tiles worth a gander. Finally, there is a certain serenity here that has a calming effect on the soul. We saw it because it was more or less on the way to Porto and so why not. If you have to go way out of your way to see it or you have limited time, I would pass this up.
