Visit of the aldeia da Pena.
The little village “aldeia de Pena” where al the houses are in “Slate” is about a 20km from São Pedro do Sul (Viseu) hided into a deep vally of the “Serra da Serra de São Macário”. You will drive on a narrow road, for the once who are not used to drive on this roads, be very carefull, certainly because this is the only road to drive to and to leave the village. You cannot drive with the car into the village, you have a small place on the entrance and from there you have to walk. This location is especially for Nature and Mountain Lovers, and is considered one of the most beautiful Lime Stone villages of Portugal. Nice to visit, but drive very careful on the narrow road.

Charming village with a cafe
Aldeia da Pena offers a magic combination of great views and traditional delicacies! A bit more famous than the other stunning villages such as as Aldeia da Drave, Covas do Monte and Regoufe. A must visit for those who want to know the true colors of Portugal!
