Beautiful trip by snowmobile to a local reindeer farm
We joined "Combined Snowmobile and Reindeer safari" which takes place every day at 10 am. Beautiful route through the snowy forests and over the vast lakes took us to a friendly reindeer farm. Reindeer sledge ride was really a very short taster ride, but we also fed the reindeer and heard the stories of the reindeer farming. Hot drinks and delicious pulla / doughnuts were served in the cosy cafe. The whole trip took about 2,5 hours. It was good fun to ride a snowmobile for the first time! Highly recommended!

Excellent experience and customer service
organised 2 safaris through Kuusamo safaris and both were excellent. Milkka offers by far the best customer service of the Ruka operators I enquired with allowing a more tailored experience. Good for English speakers . We did one shorter reindeer safari on the first day and then a longer trip via a husky farm and ice fishing. Both excellent. Good value too. Short walk out of town.

Amazing tour on the snow scooter
We booked the Ritakorpi tour on the snow scooter for 2 persons. We had the luck that we were the only clients that day, so we had a private tour with Miika. He was very nice and friendly and we had a perfect tour thanks to him. The tour drove through beautiful sites. It was one of our favorite tours ever!
