Very beautiful !
I visited the place in January, during winter. Some of the tracks are icy and slippery, but I did enjoy the walk. Between 11h and 14h, at the sunlight, the half frozen river is very pretty. I took some awesome pictures (I am not Finnish, so I am not familiar with this king of panorama) !

A beautiful nature destination!
There are several fire places in the area and firewood is provided, so basically you don´t need to bring your own. The area is at its best during spring, when the snows melt and the water in the rapids flow fast. Also very nice in the summer and during ruska (change of leaves) in September.

Beautiful scenery
This is a very picturesque place where the river flows over many rocks. There are wooden tracks around for you to walk on but you can leave them and walk on the rocks but it can be slippery. There are couple of bridges to allow you to go over different parts of the river. There is a car park, toilets and many benches etc. to have a picnic and places to make a fire for cooking food. It is very pretty and well worth visiting for the scenery. Public transport is almost non-existent, you can get to kiminki by bus from Oulu but it is not that close (an hour walk away). You can also cycle from Oulu there is a decent cycle path but it takes at least an hour.
