Amazing trip but don’t use Ruka taxis
Excellent from the moment we booked it. Did the 10km safari which they said gives you 45 mins of riding the sled but it felt like more time than that. We were there at least 3 hours with the post-ride drinks and snacks. It was surprisingly very easy to control the sled. Nobody fell off in our group and I think it is very rare to do so. The dogs were very friendly to fuss after the ride. Unfortunately our pre-booked Ruka taxis transfer let us down and it looked liked we were going to miss this event so I rang era-susi and they said they would wait. As it happened we were only about 10 mins late so no impact as the tour is a defined circular route. Taxi there cost 21 euros and took about 10 mins from the Ruka ski village hotel. Rang a taxi when it was time to come home. No problems with that.

Fabulous 5Km Husky Safari
Absolutely amazing experience. The staff were great, very informative, knowledgeable and calm/patient. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 children (8, 6, 6 and 3 years old). Each sledge had one adult and 1 child. The Huskies were lovely and well trained. We felt safe. The trail was absolutely stunning. We all had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it and go back next time. After the safari we had some time with our huskies, then we had some sausage, bun and drinks in a warm atmospheric barn. We then had a look around the farm. They had reindeer, wild boar and other animals. Kids and adults had a great time!

Visit in july
We went here on our honeymoon and our experience were good. They welcomed us warmly and we had a blast. We talked about dogs, how they treat them and a lot off other things, how they have done a lot off work to improve conditions better than those have been before with the previous owner. They are doing this with heart and passion and always thinks first what is the best for the animals. We went to family hiking with the huskyes with the quide "Saukko". Definitely want to come again, everything went well. We liked that they gave us time and talked with us, also got to drink coffee etc afterwards without hurry.
