Learn More About the Lights

This is the place to start your 'Norther Lights' holiday - with their small but concise exhibition on the Northern Lights. It includes history, science, and some amazing artistic displays to capture the atmosphere. The Northern Lights are more than a photo opportunity - Spend some time learning about them. It makes for such a richer experience. Plus, they offer a free session with a traditional Norwegian kicksled, with a fantastic snowpath next to the museum. Believe me when I say you HAVE to try it!! :D

    Wonderful!
Ah here's the type of museum I really like. Interesting, fun, with dept and lots of information. Different exhibitions here and there, you'll need at least two hours to explore and dive in all of it. Too bad I visited it on a Sunday and had only an hour and some minutes left. But it was worth it anyway. I took my time, but I wish I had more! It is definately worth a visit. Some parts though didn't have english translation, but there was some leaflets in english around the exhibitions to explain more a less what was it about.

    Good local museum
We really enjoyed this local museum. About a 30 minute walk from town through a residential area. The geology and nature rooms of particular interest to us. Northern Lights film very interesting and different to the one in Polaria. If you go to the Polar Museum as well you can buy a joint ticket or get a subsidised rate if you have your ticket from either museum.
