Lyngen Adventure, Northern Norway, Norway

5.0 (79 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Lyngen Fjord Ski & Snow Tours • Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours

A MUST!!!

We booked this through Lyngn Adventures and the booking to execution was seamless! Friendly helpful staff, pick ups and drop off punctual and very friendly staff at the Camp too. Suits and all necessary clothing provided ! We spent the day at the foothils of the Lyngn alps which are aweinspiring, althought we were out in blizzard conditions. Clear instructions were given and regular stops taken for pictures! The hot chocolate stop in one of thier teepee's was a god send in the cold! The soup and bread at the end was hot and welcoming but coud have been a bit more interestin ! I Think it was just a potatoe soup with vegetable stock. Couple of things that bothered me was that one of the tour guides was only 16yrs of age. also, usually these tours have a guide with a go-pro or camera taking pictures of the group and individuals etc which are then sent on by the company. The boys did not have any means of doing this. All in all it is a must do to see the spectacular scenary and have the experience of the cold artic harsh weather !

Going to Lyngseidet in Lyngen you have to go for a ride with the ribboat
Before a visit of Canadian relatives ? ?? I wondered what I could show them in the Lyngen Alps area besides the family history and the usual places according to that. The solution was Lyngen Adventure and a ride with their ribboat and the very serviceminded, knowledgeable and fresh Mads as the skipper on the boat. He was a breath of fresh air. We had an hour of important information about safety on board, what to wear and how to behave while being on the boat. First we went to the bay of Rottenvik, then between the big Island of Aaroeyholmen and the smaller one Bonken, then close to the steep mountains north of the village of Koppangen going north, then back to the bay of Strupen, where Mads told us about a company that in the early years of the 20'th century took ice from the local glacier and brought it for example to pubs in London UK ?? Then we had a very nice lunch at The Aurora Spirit Bivrost at the foreland of Aaroeybuktneset before the people working there showed us the factory and told us about what they produce there. A big pity that it's not possible to buy products directly from the factory! Then we went southwards, around the ferry ⛴ and to the small inserts of Nuortas, before we headed back to Lyngseidet. All three of us can strongly recommend a ribboat journey on the big Lyngenfjord with Mads as the skipper and Lyngen Adventure!
