A great museum!!!
In Sunday we went to visit a great museum of history from Barlad. I knew since long time about this museum, and wanted so many times to visit it! Now, together with family we did it and it was such great pleasure and surprise. The museum it is at the international level and I am proud to say that after I saw so many like that in abroad. They have a lot of great pieces and very good recovered. I saw also great pieces of art, like famous paintings. It was a great joy and the we the curator offered us a great presentation. The museum has few unique pieces in the Europe and in the world. So if you are passing through Barlad just stop and visit that great museum.

Great museum in a small city!
This is a four main buildings museum unusually big and complex for a small city like Barlad. It has a building with a Natural History Section with rare exhibits of the almost complete fauna of the ancient times from this area, a section of Local Personalities and national heritage figures, a collection of silver coins discovered in the area and an Astronomy Observer. The main building is raised by the Italian origined architect Baldorossi and hosts permanent exhibition dedicated to the museum itsef (first floor), Archeology (first floor), Art (second floor). Another building is dedicated to the great sculptor that was birth in Barlad, Marcel Guguianu, with works of art deicated to woman especially but also to Eminescu, Luchian and so on. The building also hides a Planetaruim that can be visited for a group of minimum 20 people. The fourth building is a 2 centuries old noble house that belonged to Sturza boyar family and now can not be visited. The tradition, the architecture and the value of it`s collection (some of the exhibits are considered Natonal Treasures) make of this museum the main attraction of the county and a MUST SEE for Barlad. The buildings are pretty close to each other but are rather large, so you need 3 hours minimum to visit all. The entrance fee is incredibly cheap (a few Romanian Lei - RON for each building). The informative material is in Romanian language, but some of the guides speak English/French.

'Romania's ancient gold and silver' thesaurus exhibit
I took my oldest daughter to see, all in one place, the ancient treasures of Romania. This is a rare moment that you cannot miss. A special ocassion to be exihibited the most important pieces of historical heritage of jewlery in Romanian area. The opening exhibition gathered top local officials, 2 ministry and some important historians. A lot of students and theirs family were there to see the beauty of time pieces. Enjoy.
