Letitia Orsivschi's Egg Museum, Northeast Romania, Romania

4.5 (20 reviews) Spent Ranking #7 in Suceava County Speciality Museums

Eggcellent!

Just a lovely little museum with some beautiful eggs from all over the world and Letitia's amazing hand decorated eggs. A recorded guide is provided to explain the eggs on display. We listened in English and my husband also listened in French which provided more detail. We purchased several eggs to give as gifts and they made the journey to the U.S. intact!

    Trip to Voronet, Romania
We spent two hours in this museum. The mother, Delia, was such a wonderful person. My wife translated for me and then a couple from New York came in and she translated for them. The place is a little hard to fine otherwise a wonderful experience. They design and color eggs there, have eggs for sale and with the over 3000 eggs from 79 different country's the time spent here was a fabulous experience.

    Egg-straordinary!
This is a small, fascinating Museum of Painted Eggs, run by a family. If you visit Bucovina, this is a must see. They have thousands of eggs, in different sizes, from all over the world, panited or decorated in many amazing models. Ms Orsivschi, who is the owner and curator, is collecting and painting eggs for many years now. Some of the staff speaks little English, but there is a recorded tour. After the tour, you can choose and buy eggs painted by the owner of the museum. Free parking is available in front of the museum. Pictures are not allowed inside.
