Motorworld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

4.5 (67 reviews) Spent < 1 hour Ranking #42 in Cologne Speciality Museums

Day trip

Motorworld was free to enter and there is a large, open, free parking lot. There are a few restaurants in the area. We spent about 1 hour looking at the cars. I think 2 hours would be adequate if you wanted to read/ watch/ listen to everything. There are two gifts shops. The facility is clean and well laid out. We enjoyed stopping here on our way to lunch in the city center.

    Well worth visiting
Visited here whilst on a River Cruise with Scenic. Apart from the Michael Schumacher personal collection the rest is just like a supercar showroom. Still worth seeing though. The Schumacher Collection was the highlight and well worth visiting. A lot of interesting stuff, all his overalls, trophies and of course many cars. His early kart was special as was his Fiat 500. Only negative was the guide who needed to update his patter as now Lewis Hamilton has equalled Schumi's World Championships, something the guide just couldn't bring himself to say.

Cool place to visit if you like cars and Michael Schumacher.
This is a cool place, with lots of sports cars to see on the ground floor. The real attraction, though, is the Michael Schumacher collection on the upper floor. It is excellent, with a wide range of Michael's cars, helmets, uniforms, and trophies. And it's all free. Brilliant. There is a very good restaurant there as well if you fancy having a meal. Food was very tasty and prices reasonable for Germany. Getting there by car was not very straightforward though, we ended up doing a couple of circles before we found the entrance. Some more and better signs would be useful.
