Couven Museum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
4.0 (137 reviews) Monday: Spent Ranking #11 in Aachen Speciality Museums
A place that shows the life and times of Aacheners
The Couven Museum presents how Aacheners lived in the late 18th and early 19th century. The museum was named after the father and son Aachen baroque architects Couven. During our visit they had an exhibit that span Germany in 1930 - 1960. The placards for this exhibit were in German but, it was easy to determine what these commonly used items were. This museum tells a great story of the life and times of Aacheners. Allow ~2+ hrs for your visit.

I was not impressed
I was not impressed by this museum, only by a very friendly, probably, historian who happened to know the answers to my questions about this place. Nice exhibits, paintings, majority of which are probably not the originals. Developed the headache by the time i reached the third floor of this museum.
