One of my favourite places in Joensuu to have a walk
Even though the gardens are private and you may not visit them, the area is really beautiful and its location on the side of the river Pielisjoki is great! A couple of times a year the people that own the gardens organize events that are open to the public, like the annual mid-summer party with a big bonfire. There goes great jogging routes near the allotment so the place is easily accessible by foot. Of course, the place is most beautiful on summertime.
