If you want to know about the history of Finland’s mining industry and part of the story of Finland becoming wealthy, go to this place. It is a lesson about history and mining but has also really nice views. View from the tower is great.

A place worth of visit
Very interesting place and worth a visit. My husband attended the guided tour and he was very impressed by it. I visited the children's play area 'children's mine' with our son during that time. As it was a warm day, our son found lots of things to do in there both inside and outside. We had lunch at the restaurant from the buffet. It was ok, nothing fancy though. There wasn't any separate food for kids though, perhaps it is not needed. All in all a place worth of visiting.

Nice for a day trip
Very interesting place, this old mine. Lot of history and great to see. Especially for kids it can be quite exciting, especially the underground mining tunnel. For kids there is also a great playground, worth a visit. It is a bit expensive though for what you get. We also got an impression from the website there would be some activities for the children to choose from (guided) but it ended up being water color painting whereas there was some talk about guided treasure hunt. Other than that nice place.
