Waitangi Treaty Grounds This is a 100% must visit location for Tourists and also all New Zealanders. Our tour guide Mr Busby was the perfect balance between entertaining and educational and he certainly added to the experience. Make certain you take the time to do all the options as the displays and even the performances are not to be missed. Especially take at least one hour to view the Te Rau Aroha Museum moving and educational and brilliantly presented At $25 for local and only $50 for tourists this is not to be missed off your Northland itinerary

Every Kiwi Must Visit Here Once
Great place, lots of people in front of us weren't aware of the cost and turned away...why come all this way and leave empty handed? This is one of the most important museums in the country and birth place of our nation. $25 for locals and $50 for foreigners is a small fee for both museums, cultural show and guided tour compared to International standards. We ate at the cafe which was probably the most average aspect of the whole day, overpriced and tiny portions, but it was very peaceful by the pond.
