    Rainbow Springs is the Best!
My family of five visited from Australia and I bought them tickets to Rainbow Springs for a Christmas present. They used it while they were here and loved the attractions. A 15 month old, one five year old, one 18 year old and two adults. They loved the trout and the walk through the native bush, plus they loved the children's playground and the Big Splash of course. We have some lovely photographs taken at the lake and with the beautiful greenstone, plus with the waterfall behind. Spectacular. They were also impressed by the staff when their five year old fell over and skinned his knee and the staff calmly settled him with a clean up, ointment and a bandage. Thank you.

A pleasant day out with family
Bought the Lite ticket as had no interest in Hatchery tour given that the likelihood of seeing a kiwi chick was slim, though was concerned we'd want more than the one BigSplash ride that our Lite ticket allowed. However, as it was so quiet when we visited and there was no queue, the staff at Big Splash let us stay on for a second ride and two was plenty. Aviaries were great, well laid out with quality play equipment for children interspersed and the tour guide was excellent. Cultural show was informative and held the attention of our children (aged 10 & 13). My only criticism would be the cafe which was very poorly stocked and had run out of most foods by midday (and this on a quiet day). Bring a picnic instead as there is plenty of outdoor seating.
