Fantastic value for money and obviously very family friendly
Fascinating insight into New Zealand's military engagements over the decades. We took the self guided tour and found the displays all had very good interpretive info. In hindsight, if we'd had a little more time would have opted for the 1 hour guided tour (a mere $2 pp more). We were on a bit of a tight timeframe but 90 minutes just flew by.

A family trip to donate Father's War items.
Family went to donate some items from the 2nd World War. We donated medals and some other items - the medal room was absolutely gorgeous but also the whole museum is definitely worth visiting. We met with a very nice guy Glenn Martin who worked with us on the donations and he was lovely and we felt very comfortable leaving the items with the Museum. Below it asks who was with you and there is no family without saying with young children or teens. We were all adults.
