Alternative cinema/theatre house
This modern cinema/theatre building has an interesting design. According to information, when it was renovated in 1998-2003, the design was by a Dutch cartoonist, assisted by the architecture firm Mecanoo. No wonder it looks fun and lively outside. Because I wanted to see a film I had missed back home there, so I went and discovered this lovely place. The cinema screens more arthouse types of films. There are also theatre productions staged. There's a cafe inside.

Visited to see movie
We visited recently to see the movie “Loving Vincent”, an amazing movie about Van Gogh. The theatre was very comfortable and the little cafe in the building had great coffee for a beforehand drink. They also had beer and wine. We really enjoyed this venue and the movie was superb.

a very nice place to watch alternative movies
We went to see "the lady in the van" here and thorougly enjoyed the theatre with comfy seats. Some people would mind that you can't take drinks or snack in, but I don't mind.
