Amazing and huge space

We had over 7hrs to kill before our flight so scoured the airport for things to do, we stumbled upon the Panorama Terrace. It was brilliant a huge space that even had an empty disused aircraft for you to board and look around. It was very windy and cold there but would imagine in the summer would be a lovely place to sit and watch the daily goings on of the airport. They are doing works to this area and when these are complete the place will be a great place to visit. They are building a new bar and restaurant which will be a great place to chill in the summer. There are picnic tables and seating areas so you can bring your own food or takeaway food from the airport outlets. I wish we still had something like this at our local airport in the UK, its great place to kill time.

    Great view!
    What a lovely view, close up with the aeroplanes, and lots of room, seating outside on nice day or pop in to restaurant (hmsHost) for nice coffee or good food. Only issue there was ordering tea (im irish! And we like our tea). Given a tall glass of boiling hot water - no handle! Very hot!! and not the way to serve tea! And expensive! at 3.60euro. But surprisingly a lovely unusual taste, Good choice of food and beer. A GREAT spot for the professional airspotter to go visit for photos, as my son comes here to do,.plenty to see. Airport very well organised, shops, food, bars, very impressed with schipol airport!

    Great place for fresh air but needs TLC
    Nice place to get some fresh air and sunshine whilst you wait for a loved one to arrive and it’s lovely to be able to see the planes landing and taking off. It looks the airport authority are letting the area decline which is sad. It’s a shame that so many areas are screened off and there is no investment in toilets and refreshments.
