A Quiet, Beautiful Walk
Try to stay here in an AirBnB or one of the small hotels. It's close to everything and yet apart from where most people go. It's a nice, quiet walk with some of the prettiest canal houses. The boat tours don't go here, there's not a lot of public stuff, so you can just feel like you have a private retreat here. A good Indonesian restaurant tucked away on one of the streets. Check it out

Lots of cool things to see
The Jordaan area of Amsterdam is located in the east end area of the old city. There are plenty of lovely buildings to admire and many of the buildings are cafes, shops and much more. There are also come cool restaurants and markets to check out. It's also interwoven with canals and this can be one of the best ways to see the city.
